The series "100 YEARS OF WARNER BROS." debut

100 YEARS OF WARNER BROS. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, the special films include over 60 interviews with famous actors, company executives, and legendary directors.

The series is directed by Oscar-nominated Leslie Ayvurks and is an official selection of Cannes Classics, premiering at the Cannes Film Festival on May 24, 2023.

The special series "100 YEARS OF WARNER BROS." comprises four documentary Max Original films, narrated by Morgan Freeman and directed by Oscar and Emmy-nominated director Leslie Ayvurks ("The Story of Imagination," "Recycled Life"), and it will debut with two episodes each on May 26 and June 2 on the streaming platform HBO Max.

 

The premiere of the first two parts will take place on May 24 at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the official selection of Cannes Classics for 2023.

 

Exploring Warner Bros.'s influence on art, business, and culture, 100 YEARS OF WARNER BROS. tells the unprecedented story of the legendary entertainment studio on the occasion of its first century. The four special films, featuring insights and first-hand accounts from directors, actors, studio executives, journalists, and historians, trace the development of Warner Bros. The series takes us from the studio's founding in the early 1920s by four immigrant brothers, through decades of creative risks and impactful storytelling, to the historic mergers in 2000 that transformed the company into a global entertainment force.

 

With Morgan Freeman as the narrator and numerous video materials from iconic films and hit television series, 100 YEARS OF WARNER BROS. offers a captivating behind-the-scenes look at the stories that have left an emotional impact on audiences worldwide for generations.

Four brothers set out to build a film studio from scratch, simultaneously making a giant leap from silent to "talkie" films. When Warner confronts Nazism during World War II, their personal ambitions lead to family betrayal.
